I knew there was something missing from the night and just couldn't put my finger on it.  Now I know!!! Hopefully you will be able to make it to the Halloween camp.  I'm asking for the 28th Oct because I can't do the 4th Nov.

I had a great night at the Annalong Camp.  Plenty of banter around the fire, a wee drink to wet my whistle and one of the warmest, comfiest sleeps I've had in the hills in a long time.  My bed for the night was my Army Issue hammock/stretcher slung between four trees and my DPM Army Issue Bivvy Bag with  the following inside; a 3/4 length self inflating mat, Vango 2/3 season sleeping bag and a Tesco 1 season sleeping bag used as a liner.  I slept like a baby through to 5am.  Woke to watch a fox explore our camp for 20 mins then dozed back off till 7:15am.  I could have lay there all day but unfortunately I had to be in Killyleagh for 9am  >:(

Oh, I got to play with my new Biolite Stove too.  Wish I could say it burnt like a Blacksmiths furnace but if I'm gonna be honest it wasn't the easiest to keep lit.  To be fair though, I haven't read the instructions yet and I had a bottle of wine in me  ::)  Still, it cooked my sausages and they slipped down a treat.  I also forgot to bring my iPhone charger so I didn't get testing it charging capabilities either  >:(

Here's a few pics:

Yip it was a good night ,dry and a near full moon and  lack of cloud cover made for a great night round the fire.
By 9 the next morning it was a clear and sunny day ahead , landyliam arrived for breakfast and thanks goes for the guided tour of Percy Bysshe. The entrance way to it makes it a local knowledge thing and it was well worth the dander up even with a slight hangover.
