Just got the Zephyros 2 pitched in the back garden.  Certainly much better than the Gelert Solo 1 in that I can sit up in the Zep2 which I couldn't do in the Solo. Roomy for one and I imagine rather close for two.

Now scheming on getting out to the hills for an overnighter.

Any chance of some pics? I'm interested in how much room there is for 2 sleep mats.

Yes. Plan to do some later.

Will do so in the morning.  I've put two roll mats in and they fit okay.  Probably dead on for two and kit can go in the porch or if need be outside in a poly or dry bag.

Maybe get out Saturday for an overnighter somewhere.  Most likely have to park at Meelmore for obvious reasons and walk from there.

Still looking at the map for alternatives.

Sweeeet, my Zephyros 1 tent arrive tonight, i even managed to get it half erected by tying 1 end to the radiator and the other to the bed, for a moment i thought about putting the garden sprinkler in through the bedroom window but thought that would be going to far.   ;D

The new secure parking Chuck alerted us to looks like a great spot to access Doan sort of area.

Hope these are of use. Had to hurry as it started to get stormy and then the rain came on.

Well it seems that the Zephros owners on NI Wild are getting good use out of the tents the bought last autumn.

I came across an article on Terry Bnd's blog about Terra Nova/Wild Country's plans for 2013 which you will probably find interesting.

2013 will see the launch of the Zephros 1 & 2 lite with weights of 1250g and 1400g respectively.  With the usual competitive price of the WC Zephros 1 it makes you wonder is a LC worth it for about 300g of a weight saving (and a futery pole sleeve you have to fit when pitching  :-\).

Apart from the new tents it also means that the current version of the Zephros 1 & 2 will likely be be available at a bargain price.

Lightweight backpacking will hold no barriers for anyone!

I have the Zephyros2 and whilst it's okay for one I wouldn't like to be with another person in it. I know it's only slightly bigger than the Zep1 but for solo I'd recommend the Zep2.
