New to ni-wild
« on: February 11, 2012 »

Hello,

Brilliant set up you folks have here .... Mournesman recommended it to me and I'm just having a look now.

I'm Rusty Madra (James) from Belfast. Main interests are Hiking, Geocaching, outdoor swimming, Running (badly) and martial arts.

I started discovering the Mournes and having got the taste for it was looking to improve my outdoor skills and maybe learn a few more. Looking at starting surfing here in the summer and thinking about climbing / rope work.

Training at the moment with the Pen-Y-Fan event in the Breacon Becons in mind  ??? Using the Mournes to train between moments of self-doubt about the event lol!

Welcome James wow you lot certainly keep it in the family, you Mourneman and Matmoo must be "the three mountain men" much better sounding than "the three muskateers"  :D

Welcome Rusty. I too am from Belfast. Lived in town for years until I bogged off eastward for cheaper rent.

I enjoy getting down to the mournes too myself, got the cavehill trail + estate trail to keep me ticking over though on the weeks I don't get down.

Good to have John keeping you right - glad to have you onboard mate.
