New, Handmade Canadian Open Canoe, beautifully finished.

Reasonable offers considered...

Hoping for around £750.

16 ft long 3ft wide at centre spreader, with full length keel.

This canoe is hand crafted to the highest standards, using only the best and highest grade recommended materials.

It is constructed using Lloyds of London approved components...

...West Systems epoxy resin, hardeners, glass bubble fillers, colloidal silica and the BEST grade Woven Fibreglass Mat.

(This is not the normal construction using cheap polyester resins and auto repair quality chopped strand fibreglass mat)
This design is stable and will track perfectly.
Suitable for fishing, river and lake, daytrips and camping. It is designed to carry 2 persons and baggage and equipment comfortably and safely.

It will attract admiring looks from others and truly stands out amongst the usual plastic versions.

The entire canoe is epoxy resin sealed; the underside and 10 cms up each side are covered with epoxy soaked BEST grade Woven Fibreglass cloth.
This will protect it from rocks and bangs!
It also provides additional structural stability.
(Cheaper versions will only use a 5 cm wide fibreglass tape seam on joints.)

The interior is finished with 3 coats of epoxy resin and 4 coats of waterproof hard clear varnish.
The exterior has 5 coats of under coat in addition to the fibreglass sheathing and epoxy. It was then finished with 3 coats of gloss, and waxed 3 times!

The seating is constructed in hardwood, placed to allow perfect balance in both single and tandem paddling positions.

No effort has been spared in the construction or finish. This should ensure that when well looked after and treated to regular rub down and re-varnish; it should last decades.

Viewing is available by appointment.

The canoe is located 10 mins from Newry, 1 hour from Dublin Airport, and 35 mins from Belfast; just of the A1.

I'm not in the market, but I have to say well done: that is a beautiful craft. A rather reasonable price too considering what the plastic canadians go for and the fine work that has gone into this!
