torn Nylon Tent
« on: July 26, 2011 »

I have an Urban Estate Himalaya 4 tent. The family uses it now and then but our dog got at it recently and there are some tears in the nylon material near the main door near the top. ( sorry about the technical terms!) Does anyone know of anywhere that repairs nylon tents. While the tears are too big for DIY patching I think it would mend well.  I live in Kilkenny but would be willing to travel or post the tent if possible.
All advice welcome

welcome to the forum Elaine, personally i would just use duct tape (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duct_tape)  to fix it, cheap and cheerful  ;D

If your going to do the DIY I can send you some of my tarp it would help keep waterproof and there is tarp repair tape you can get of eBay that would be do the job to join the fabrics
