Wild camping near Carlingford
« on: December 30, 2010 »

Hi there,

I'm planning on doing a bit of wild camping in Jan and just wondered how suitable the morne mountains are at this time of year?

Also I don't have a car so I was planning on getting the bus to Carlingford and starting from there. Is this a good place to start as I'm totally reliant on public transport.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Generally the Mournes are fine all year round as long as you're well enough prepared. As far as I know most of the snow has gone.
