Rock Climbing Clinic
« on: June 07, 2013 »

Hi Everyone,

As some of you will know I work in Cotswold Outdoor in Belfast City Centre, for those of you who don't... I guess you do now.

We are having a Rock Climbing Clinic with Ronnie Smith (MIC) on Saturday 15th June 2013 from 10:30 am. Tickets cost 5 pounds on the day or you can call into the shop and buy one in advance from the city store. Alternatively you can book over the phone: 02890 248 607 or drop us an e-mail: belfast.city@cotswoldoutdoor.com

Topics covered in the clinic are ropework, belaying and gear technique. This is a great opportunity to improve your climbing knowledge.

Thanks!

I have just been told that tickets can't be purchased on the day as we have three sessions running (beginner, intermediate, advanced). Tickets need to be booked before hand and your level of experience detailed so you are in the correct group.

If you have any questions or queries reply to this message or send me a direct message.  :)

Unfortunatley i'll be out of the country  :( but i would have loved to have gone to this, I can highly recommend Ronnie, he's taught me on a couple of courses at Tollymore, and to get some training for only £5, what a bargain  :)

Another thumbs up for Ronnie - he was my ML assessor and winter skills instructor.  Top bloke - dry sense of humour too.  What he doesn't know about climbing could be written on the end of a needle.

Just a little bump to let everyone know this event takes place in 2 days and there are still places available. As has been mentioned above this is a great opportunity to improve your climbing skills and Ronnie is a well respected instructor who we feel very priviledged to have come in and take these sessions.

Tickets can be bought by calling into Cotswold Outdoor in Castle Lane, just before Corn Market or over the phone.

Don't forget to mention you heard about the event here on NI-Wild! :)

I've just received a message to say the climbing clinic due tomorrow has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

I'm not sure of the details yet but hopefully we can get this scheduled for another time! Thanks for all the interest and recommendations for Ronnie!
