it was indeed an impressive hex placement  ;D

first an easy starter on "common arete (M)"
i did my first lead climb, although it was really more of a scramble

alan at the bottom

scrambling over the top onto the next route

"high noon (HS 4c) " alan leading, nowhere to place protection!

a nice gulley here  "Struggle Gulley (S 4a)", again nowhere convenient to place proptection, i let alan lead  ;D

then i followed when safely on a belay

coming or going?

then onto "escalator", Big E leads

Neil belaying (his first time out on rock)

abseiling back down, the normal way

the not so normal way

and just as we were leaving allyc turned up

think outside, no box required
