Tim - glad you got sorted.  PEC is a no-brainer if you are a student.

Lenny, MG - I'm definitely up for some ozone action. My wall friend has been too busy for months. PM me if you guys are going anytime.

I think Tollymore is just a pay & play centre, oh look, there's a hotrock leaflet on my wall, it says

£5 adult
£3.50 students/unemployed/mci member
£2.50 under 14

instructor available free of charge on tues nights (best phone first to confirm)

I went to the hot rock at http://www.tollymore.com/Climbingwall/whatistheclimbingwall  last tuesday night for my first time on the climbing wall, lovely spot, took 2 of the kids who loved it (even the 6yr old) bit pricey when you are paying for 3 people and having to hire the gear  :'( (£3.50 each) but i don't think there is a time limit (open til 10pm) so not bad value for a few hrs play.

Ian the instuctor was very helpful and fills you full of confidence, once he trains you up you can turn up any time and have a go at the wall. There are 4 of the auto-belay devices so you can climb without a partner (also handy if you don't trust your partner  ::) )

Yes I'm well up for it, just wanted to get a go on the wall first, I do some industrial climbing at work but no rope stuff, I do love heights  ;D
