Lighter repair in Belfast
« on: December 16, 2010 »

Evening all, after racking my brains I though I would widen the search

Background.

For a Christmas present for dad, I bought a Dunhill lighter off E bay. It arrived and looked the ticked, genuine, in a box, no scrapes etc. As soon as it was filled, it started to leak gas, clearly, this was a bad sign.

I have the option of returning it to the seller though I will have to but something different. This is my least preferred method as the lighter is an exact replacement for the one dad has had for over 30 years.

Now from memory there was a lighter shop in Queens Arcade years ago and I am wondering if it is still there and able to help?

Does anyone know of a shop anywhere who would be able to help me out as Google has turned up no results.

Any takers

Hi Matt

You could give Miss Morans a call...  They might be able to help or know somebody that can:

Gave them a ring and the lighter has to be sent back to Dunhill for a repair. £105 to have a look at it. I think I will be returning it to the original seller.

If it costs £105 to have a look at it, I'm guessing the lighter wasn't cheap to start with :o  That could buy a lotta Bic's :D

The lighter was fairly costly but not £500. It's in the post back now.

Cheers for the help lads
