Will the cannister clip onto it or just set on?

It's just going to sit on the top of it. I dont have a small enough cutter to machine a clip.. Actually just thinking about it I could cut a clip on the band saw then machine the profile...

Only problem I can see with it is that its only able to take one size canister.

I reckoned that ill only ever be using the 125g canister, anything larger and I doubt ill need the stand as the base should be wide enough to provide good stability.

Good point, Although don't forget that with the increased capicitcy canisters the height of the unit increases also. There's probably a formula but that increased height may negate the effect of the bigger base and your back at square one with a wobbly stove
