G'day ;)

Welcome Ryan.
Great to see in the news too that Australia has a government safe driving campaign called "Don't Be A Dickhead". Awesome country (apart from the internet filtering obviously)!

Hi Ryan, welcome to the site :)

Thanks for the warm welcomes!
Yes Australia is a great country, its booming at the minute, plenty of money, work, weather etc but you know what, it wouldnt have a patch on home! Ive seen alot of great sights over here, walked through some amazing places, swam in water holes, hiked a 70k trek through a gorge system that can only seen by helicopers and all days away from anywhere and i still maintain we (Ireland) have one of the most beautiful landscapes anywhere in the world.
Sorry if i have come across as a bit of a brag i just wanted to give an honest Opinion on how beautiful a country we have, when its not raining :)

It must be nice to have honest-to-god wilderness where you can be miles from the closest person or road. Doesn't matter where you go in Northern Ireland there's always the chance of a chav within a mile or 2.
Thanks for the warm welcomes!

There are some remote places over here where if you did venture in chances are if you werent prepared you wont come out again. I travelled from Darwin (Top) to Melbourne (bottom) a couple of years ago in my ute and it had taken me 38hrs of driving to get there. Thats two full days driving and driving into Melbourne on the third day. The scale of this place is mindblowing. We hiked a trail called the Jabulta Trail (google it), we spent 4days in the bush and only met one person on the last day. From long grass, rocky face, pools to sand and rain forest we seen a complete change in landscape everyday. Really is a great country for getting right into but home is where the heart is and come july my heart will be home!! :-[
