Though I registered some months ago I'm only getting around to doing this now. I have enjoyed the outdoors for the past 30 years or so, mainly walking and camping in the Mournes and Tollymore. After a dormont spell my opportunities to get out have increased recently and I have revisited places first ventured many years ago. Though it has been brilliant to be up the hills again it is frustrating to see so much rubbish discarded about as well as some (apparent) vandalism. I note with interest the enthusiam and comments from the members, some of whom seem to get out quite a lot. My target for this year is to try and get out for any walk at least once per month. So instead of reading about it in magazines like The Great Outdoors and Trial I should be out there doing it. Here's hoping. I might even get around to meeting up with some of you somewhere, planned or otherwise.

Welcome, there's plenty on here itching to get out more and judging by last years fun I'd say that once the weather get a shade warmer something will be happening most weekends. I'm in the same boat - too much chat and not enough action :)

How you doing Surf ...... Do you fancy coming on the Lecale trip ?

Thanks for the welcomes and the invitaion to the Lecale Way Walk. Other committments probably make this unlikely however I'll keep looking at the calender and perhaps try to get to a day outing firstly. Might even bring the younger bro if he's free too. Have to get the date booked well in advance before I get nabbed for something else! Keep smiling.
