Post by: chris on January 12, 2010
Got picasa to try and manage my photos. Only prblem is its displaying the raw and the jpg so every picture is doubled! Does anyone how to set it to show only jpg? remove duplicates doesn't work...

How do you end up with 2 formats?

Probably the easiest way is to store the JPG and raw in different places.

thinkin about it I was shooting in raw and jpeg because my laptop couldnt handle the raw data but if picasa can read it on this the there is no need for the jpeg! sorted ;D

Picasa is definately well worth using. It's got lots of features and best of all, it's fweeeee. (The face recognition systems blow a bit though)

I would recommend using Adobe Lightroom, It will store, catalogue, resize and edit your pics for you, I have a code for it you can have and can give ya a quick lesson on how to use it.
