Hi all! I was actually PM'ed about this forum by a member of another outdoor forum who knew I was from N.I. so thanks for the heads up. Nice to find an outdoor forum that is a bit more local :)
Name is Jon and I live in Co. Down. Mainly in to walking/hiking, camping, mountain biking and photography. Hoping to start doing more long distance walking and wild camping in the near future so will be keeping my eyes on the "Meets" section :)

Hi Jon, plenty going down in Down as it where. We'll be doing the Lecale Way at the end of January if you fancy a good walk on the flat.
-
Hello and welcome jon....there should be plenty of meets planned for this year hope to see you on some of them.

Thanks for the welcome. I spotted the thread on the Lecale Way, quite tempted by that one :) If its an over nighter though I might need to start looking at tents again. My last one was an el-cheapo effort and never came back with me after my last trip!

Depending on who's going there might be room to share.

all being well there's room in my tent.

I would bring my Vango Banshee 300 and share. Not sure how practical it is to squeeze 3 people in but it's defo good for 2.

Hi Jon and welcome

Thanks for the welcome MG.
Think my girlfriend might be interested in doing the Lecale Way also, so if I can get my hands on a two-man tent I should be grand. If I end up going solo though will put a post up in the Lecale Way thread to see if there is any one I can bunk up with :)

I'm sure we could sort something either way.
