was in the buttercrane centre today and millets were having a closing down sale. everything was at least half price.
shop had been stripped pretty much but still managed to get some cheap chemical warfare for the midges and a lightweight towell.there were loads of hunter wellington boots left and i could have gotten a new trangia for 25 quid .
pity i didnt know about it yesterday morning ::)

do you know if all millets are closing or just that one? They had the exclusive rights to the peter storm name too, wonder whats going to happen with that?

no idea if all the shops are going, but there was lots of peter storm gear left on the rails.base layers,t-shirts and lightweight trousers.
there were a few boxes with `boxed for transfer` on it,so i think thst gear might have been going to other branches, but thats just my speculation.
im hope theyre still in business.

I'm sure they're not totally closing down - it would have been all over the news. That said, I don't use them much any more. There isn't the price difference between them / Tiso / Cotswolds that there used to be.
