I have a DD Hammock. Would rate it for quality and value but to date I've only had one night in in. It was fine, although I didn't have it setup that well.

I think there's a technique to getting comfy in them The night I used mine I didn't get into it until after 5am and was too tired to get out and mess with it (666_packs fault ;))

the dd hammocks are good bits of kit. ive been using what they call the jungle hammock ,has a fly-net stitched on and hangs from the tarp rope.

saying that though,im really considering one of the hennessey jobs, bigger the better i say so im looking at the safari one. a good nights sleep is important when your out in the forest so i try to carry the best sleeping kit that i can.

i travel by water usually so carrying it isnt an issue.

my sleeping kit comprises of a dd jungle hammock,a b&q tarp, goretex bivvy bag and british army issue sleeping bag. i can tell you im never EVER cold in that cot  :D though i could use the bigger hammock for definite.

wherever is suitable, last weekend it was along the Bann canoe trail. just beside the water, then up near the coleraine lock the next night. took a bit of finding though, had to hide in the bushes away from the big rich houses on the water front ;D

with my set-up i can camp ANYWHERE near water.
