And a little tip, those space blanket things that I thought were only for people with hypothermia....amazing! get one now stick it in your pack, they pack realitivley small but weigh next to nothing,  and trow it over, round, under (wherever!) your sleeping bag at night, I instantly felt the benifit, i actually for the 1st time in my life was too hot in my little merlin softie 3 and had to strip some layers off! def one to get imo if your planning on doing some winter camps around the mournes or wherever!

It is certainly interesting and something I've never seen before, but a bit of a pro mountain marathon bit of kit I think. I would far rather carry something I know wasn't going to burst if I were to move round on it. Heard the balloons popping through the night and also someone saying in the morning "All but one of my balloons burst during the night, so I woke up sleeping on just one baloon" I think I would carry the extra gramage to get a decent sleep. If you want to lose 300 grams and still get a good sleep then stop drinking and eating kebabs for a week or two

I dunno now, the guys beside us wern't the lighest if you know what I mean and they loved them, and i've seen a few vids of people fully jumpin up and down on them and not one burst, I think the majority of balloons burst due to people over inflating them (while pumping them up).
