A hike on Saturday to Blue Lough for a refreshing swim then on to Spelga Dam for a look at the emerged road and bridge:

It's a fascinating thing to see and how different the area was now the water levels are lower.

There were quite a lot of folk around, cars parked up the road and a group of guys setting up camp on the banks of the dam.
Another great wee video mate keep them coming :)
Quite a novelty that little bridge. Nice for that little bit of history to show itself from time to time.
Apparently there is another bridge still underwater. I saw pictures of it when it was exposed before (they said it was around 1989 it was exposed. From History of Newcastle Co Down facebook page - 'Thanks to Alistair Henry for these photos of the second bridge along the old road covered by Spelga Dam. These were taken in August 1989. I was confused by the recent photos because I remember standing on a bridge with parapets in summer 1995. The surrounding water-logged mud was terrifyingly deep. These prove that I was not doting! There is a second bridge still some distance under the reservoir.'
