Yeah, I may be able to do something. When/where are you thinking?
Title: Re: Halloween Family Camp
Post by: torp on September 29, 2016
Not sure mate was up for ideas for when/where and I know we both thought Rams Island would be a good location after our last trip there,
but depending on if peeps are willing to pay or not???? for the boat crossing etc.

Oh I forgot we'd said about rams, that'd be great if pepole were up for it. If not tho I'm easy. My wife is away on the 29th of October so I have the young ones anyway if that suits?

Sounds good Stephen but I have just threw it out there to see what the general thought is ( I'd be happy enough meeting up and doing Rams again if no one else is interested) what you think??

The island is good to go on the 29th if we want it.
If not we can go somewhere else, suppose it depends if there are any more takers.
I haven't booked anything yet but me and my 3 kids are up for doing something then

Scary biscuits,
Well it is a Halloween camp! I love scary things. I remember I got caught out in a storm and fading light in the hills in South Wales. I hopped over a wall and rolled over to what I thought was a large Boulder and scrambled into my bivibag to avoid the wind and sleet.
When I awoke at first light I found myself lying in an old graveyard, what I thought was a boulder was a tombstone which had subsided and the hollow I was laying in was a second grave which had pushed up and I could clearly see the outline of a coffin and some bones poking through. The morning was calm and it didn't feel right for me to brew up were I was,so I went back over the wall. After my brew I walked around the old grave yard reading the gravestones and found the dates were from the 1700s to 1926. So wot u may ask? wots scary about that? Well nothing except that the tome stone that gave me shelter was a family grave that had the same surname as me. Scary biscuits.

Hi folks!
Well we're expecting our second baby in a couple of weeks time so the timing doesn't suit me for this trip, but I hope you all have a really good night!
On the plus side, as I'm not at this camp, it gives me a free pass for the Christmas camp  ;D

Well Rumblebum was a couple of weeks out on that.  He welcomed his new baby daughter into the world today.  All dong well.  As I pointed out to him, that gives a couple more weeks gap before the Christmas camp  ;D

I haven't had the kids at a NI Wild camp in donkeys, so will have to try to get along to one soon.  Unfortunately we tend meet up with friends around Halloween so it's not possible to get along to this one.  Have a good one folks.  Looking forward to the pics.

I saw the jetty in the pics and wondered would it be suitable for fishing. I've not fished very much at all tbh and only sea fishing. Fresh water is a bit of a mystery to me  ;D

Title: Re: Halloween Family Camp
Post by: boron on October 24, 2016
Most definitely, once the temp falls way way down to  anything between 15 and 25 degrees  you have to get the mulled wine on lol.hic also good starter for campfire singalong hic,
Who's bringing the guitar? Lol have a good time.
Title: Re: Halloween Family Camp
Post by: Heggs on October 24, 2016
Of course! Sounds good to me Glenn.
I'd love to play the guitar. I was actually thinking about picking up a harmonica sometime, that would be cool around a campfire
