Title: Cushendall
Post by: tjc on January 28, 2016
I wonder if anyone can tell me if there are any wild camping spots in or around Cushendall?

Thanks.

Tim

Hi Tim.  There are some spots on the high ground around there on the like of the Garron Plateau and Lurigethan Mountain that would be great for a wildcamp.  I have camped up on the Garron Plateau (http://www.ni-wild.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=4748.0) before.  The tops are quite flat and so could be quite exposed in windy conditions.  You would need a wee bit of time and daylight to find a nice dry spot.  For coastal spots, the coast road doesn't allow for much potential land to use.  The main road departs the coast after Cushendall but looking at google maps the struggle could be to reach the coast without access issues over farm land.

Hi. Thanks so very much for the very detailed information. I will take a look at Google maps which is something I hadn't thought to do!

Have a good weekend.
