Hi guys.
I've been building my gear up over the past year and I'm really keen to try new areas to camp. I'm trying to get at least one camp a month for the rest of this year and hope by joining up here I'll get some more wild camp ideas, locations and maybe a few people to join in. I normally camp solo, with the my kids or few mates.
Thanks!

Welcome Heggs, where were you thinking of wild camping? the mournes?

Been mostly in the mournes. Lately I've been in Donard forest twice, done a solo on Doan, Lough Shannagh and a Nature reserve close to home with my eldest child (was a stealth one lol). I'm fairly new to the mournes though. I've hiked a few times and seen some nice spots, its just finding a safe parking space. I also go to Rams island once a year with some mates. It feels like a proper wild camp but with secure parking and permission from the guy who looks after the place giving peace of mind.
