Hi to all!
I’m based in outer Belfast and really enjoy getting out and about.
I have just left the 30’s and discovering the world of the 40 – 44 age bracket (although truth be told I am mentally still in my early 20’s!).
I was in the scouts in my youth for about 15 years from a little Cub right through to a warranted leader of a Venture Scout Group and this is where I acquired a love of the outdoors and camping.
Normally head out with a few friends and make our way to the Mournes for a 1 or 2 nighter but really only getting back into things over the past year or two.
I have an interest in Bushcraft and Primitive living skills but have very little experience in either as I do my own research but generally if its outdoors count me in.
I am looking forward to being part of the ni-wild family.

Welcome to NI Wild OldScout, the board is littered with plenty of us around that age and who developed a love for the hills in our youth. At this age you really appreciate the time you get out, which is often limited by other factors in life.

Good to know there are many young people like myself around and I can only echo your comment regarding the appreciation for getting a little time out and about.
