Sean here. I live in Downpatrick and I am in my early 30’s.
I love a bit of hill walking. In recent years I have been round a few of the main places close by; Carrauntoohil, Ben Nevis a couple of times, Snowdon, Scafell Pike and obviously, The Mournes.
My main love is Donard by the Glen River. I love it because it is so accessible and such a short, quick route to the summit. I can leave my house in Downpatrick, be at the summit of Donard and back home in no time, making it perfect for exercise.
You will find me up there at least once a week all year round and usually twice a week in the longer evenings. I have even went up in the middle of the night a couple of times. I absolutely love it!
I have actually been a member of this forum for a while but had not previously introduced myself.
I am booked to climb Kilimanjaro in October (Lemosho route) and I suppose I will be looking for any tips or information anyone has to share who might have already done it, but I will ask about that again in another post.
I also loved camping in my younger years but sad to say I have not had the opportunity much recently, mainly because the group of friends I have wouldn't really be interested in it.
Sean.

Replied to your other post Sean, I hope some of it helps. Good Luck!
