Excellent... time for us to start planning a hammock camp.  I haven't been swinging for ages  ;)

Instead of a Bullseye Bivvy we could organise a Ham Hock Hammock and make a big communal ham hock stew ;)

The TW is good gear. It's hard to work out what goes where at the start and maybe takes a few goes to get it just the way you like it but it's well worth it in the long run. Nothing beats waking up staring at the sky. Plus with the mozzie nets you don't get tortured by the midges. Can be parky in the winter because you don't get the same insulation beneath as being on the ground but with a roll mat it's not too bad.

Yeah being a bit cooler would be my only concern im always a bit paranoid about the we fella being warm enough..

The TW Hammocks have two layers at the bottom held closed with velcro along the whole length.  This compartment is designed to hold your sleep mat which will help insulate you from the cold coming up from below.  I feel a good, long, old fashioned foam sleep mat is best suited for the hammock as the self inflating are too rigid and contain air which cools from below.

I'm going to start planning the Ham Hock Hammock and would be aiming to organise it for a weekend in February.

I will start a new thread later this week to discuss dates and location and the plan would be to organise a large communal ham stew for us all to get tore into that evening.

We are planning on using some of our hard earned NI Wild funds to purchase a Dutch Oven (http://www.dutchovens.co.uk/) style set-up for cooking in and we can practise some bushcraft and design a way to suspend the pot over the fire for a bit of slow cooking.

Sounds like a plan to me ;D  Was actually thinking of putting a self inflating mat in it but I'll now go with the voice of experience and us a roll mat if im right I think Stepstew also was just using a foam mat in his set up..
