Hi all. Just a little update on how our carpark is going one year on. We are pleased to say that it's been a great success especially for the overnight campers heading to Annalong Wood. We have recently made it a bit bigger and added 2 picnic tables. We will be installing a water supply in the coming weeks and look forward to welcoming old and new walkers. We've had some great feedback from campers/walkers throughout Ireland who had abandoned this route because of the unsafe parking down at the main carpark but are now delighted to return here knowing their vehicle is safe while they enjoy the Mournes. Here is a little pic of our carpark. Thanks for your continued support, Julie(http://i.imgur.com/0MPM9M3.jpg)

A fantastic service you are providing its great to have the piece of mind that the car is safe when we are having overnighters in the hills. Thanks..

I use the carricklittle car park at the road regularly but because im usually parking around 6am I never liked the idea of arriving up at yours so early. It would be handy to have somewhere more secure as I always have to clear my van out of all power tools etc before I go as im afraid of break ins.

Hi Phil,
Don't worry about arriving here early, our boys are in the workshop from 7am (sometimes earlier). You can call up to yard on your way back down. All feedback/comments is greatly welcomed...

Hi cphltd, was just over a year ago I knocked on you're door asking to park our car,the carpark really is a great job giving the walkers the confidence to leave their cars knowing then will be safe.on more that one occasion we were greeted by your good self with a tray full of hot tea for everybody, many thanks John

May I add my thanks Julie for the service and may your barky dog (who seems like a big softy/scaredy custard - but I wouldn't like to test it) continue to keep our cars safe.
(oh.. I see my X-Trail in that picture :) )

I thought i spotted the ChuckWagon 8)
Well done on improving the service, i've never actually parked there myself but it does look quite appealing for a nice relax after a long walk (maybe sun loungers for next year? ) If I could buy an annual permit I would be very tempted, just about to renew my Meelmore permit, maybe I could be swayed to this side of the Mournes more often ;)

Hi Liam
Yes, we would certainly issue a seasonal ticket - just call up & see us about this next time you're around. Thanks, Julie

I would be tempted by this too. The car park has made a big difference to ease of access to that side of the Mournes.

Used this car park a few times to go bike bivvying, great to have somewhere safe to leave car in this area. Water supply would be brilliant addition. Love the dog though it scared life out of me when it looked in my car door first time!
