Just wondering if anyone here is heading the the game fair next weekend? I already have my weekend pass in the post but would be good to have a chin wag with anyone up there.

No probs it's my personal favorite fair due to the variety of things. There is the obvious ton of country sports etc, but you also get the medieval fair too which has some really interesting crafts etc.
Oh and the winner for last year, free venison. ;D

I was at it once and i have a great day, its diff one for the family.

Push the medieval fair part in your argument as it's very different from the country sport side of things and great for families, along with the huge food festival tents. They do always have a specific children's area too with a few rides/bouncy castles etc. Once you get her there it's easy then to say "oh look they have a pen with fox hounds for the kids to get in and play with" Your GF see's it as a nice fun thing for the children and you find yourself smack bang in the middle of all the country sports stuff before she realises.
Though mainly I like it as twice now the chap who runs the show has happily given me discount weekend tickets which means my petrol is effectively free, anyone who gives me discounts just because I ask instantly gets a nod in my book.
