Hello all, Long time no see
Hope everyone's doing well, don't think I've been on here in about 2 years. Does anyone happen to have spare poles for the all time favourite Argos pro action one man tent? A few of you may remember the attempted meelmore summit camp a few years back in gale force winds and torrential rain, snapping my tents poles and forcing a retreat back to the car park.
I'd be willing to pay for them and cover all postage and packing costs.
Cheers

Welcome back Tim, I have a few poles gathered after clearing various abandoned camps in donard forest, what size are the poless? maybe i'll have something that will fit

Alas, I gave my poles to MG1 after the same sort of incident. I have a solo tent gathering dust in the garage, I can't remember the model but I'm going to guess something like a Gelert Solo, you're welcome to it. I only used it once and not even overnight.

Liam, I'm afraid I'm not sure what size the poles were, all traces of the tent have disappeared from the Internet aside from a few blog posts, so I've no way of checking the tent specs or anything.
Jonno that would be superb, how much would you be wanting for it?

If you write a couple of blog posts on the NI-Wild blog about your exciting adventures in it and pass it on to another needy soul for free when you're done with it you can have it for free. No point it gathering dust in my garage, someone may as well be getting some use out of it! I'll dig it out tonight and make sure the moths haven't eaten it or anything.
If anyone does have a set of pro action poles, I have a pole-less Pro-Action you can have.

That sounds fantastic, thank you kindly. I've an upcoming cycling trip round Skye and due to the midges tarping/bivvying is out of the question, which is why I'm needing a tent. I'll be sure to get lots of pictures of it. I'm living in scotland now though (hence my lack of activity on the forum) so any blog posts may not be too relevant to ni-wild, but I can write them up regardless.
