Pretty weird and crazy! It's certainly a fuller report than the one I first saw linked to the Daily Fail, but it's one of those strange remote occurrences that the full details of will always be uncertain.
While there's always caution that the 'rich westerners' would point the blame and cry poor me, from what I have seen of Ueli Steck I could never imagine him doing anything to incite a violent mob. He is a driven athlete, but seems very calm, composed and respectful.
People will die on Everest the same as every year, but at least no-one was murdered! I'm sure base camp is a very tense place right now.

I've been following this story since it came out & was glad to hear the Sherpas angle on things,I've always considered the Sherpas as mountaineers in the true sense of the word & all others as tourists! Who knows what happened up there!
