Hey guys, I have posted a new review on YouTube called Belgium Army 1988 Bivvy Bag Review. Please watch it at the link bellow and please tell me what you think.
-
Excellent review and loving the 'GO' command, luckily the bag did its job and you didn't get a soaking. Good stuff.
-
Good job and bag :)

Nice review! ... Well done. I'm a big believer in military gear. Sometimes you sacrifice a little more weight but they're usually pretty rugged and last forever.

Well done lad,nice review . 8)

Thanks guys, I will be putting more up over the next few days. Thanks for all the encouragement!

A good review, I liked the practical test :)

Good work man, Ive been bivvyin for about 10 years but never had the guts to let somebody turn the hose on me!
-
good review, loved the bit with the hose, way to stand by your review! lol. Just out of interest how much did you give for this bivvy in the scout shop? Have you ever compared it to the British issue one? In my experience its great but heavy and dear.

They only cost £10 but there is a tent show tomorrow just across from the shop in the grounds of Inst. and I will be there, you could see more then.

Good stuff MrBushCraft, you should mention the tent show in the Shoutbox.

if it's only a tenner I may very well have to get one for when the hammock doesn't work out lol
-
just to clarify, it was a tenner from the scout shop in town? heading there tomorrow then!
great job on the review by the way, refreshing to see a younger take on videos, cant imagine many people above your age willing to actually test something like that.!

Yeap £10 Scout shop, Belfast for the Belgian one, they also do a German sleeping bag rolled up in a bivvy for £30 (don't get confused with that one) , but plain belgian one as in video £10, usually sitting at window as you come in the door or the right.

Picked one up yesterday and used it last night! Was the warmest nights sleep in the woods I've ever had. Used a British army liner, a nanok 0 sleeping bag and the bivi. Worth twice the money even just as a wind proof shell. Not as bulky as I thought it'd be but the endless amount of straps was a bit annoying so will cut them off.

Hi kiltedrunner, do you know what weight the bag was coming in at and do you reckon it could compress down smaller?
