The weather looks a bit dubious for canoeing so we're going to postpone the Family Fun Day until closer to the summer. Instead we're going to hit Annalong Wood for some family friendly craic around the campfire.
The leg'o'lamb evening was a spectacular success so we're going to have a Bushcraft BBQ. A couple of legs of lamb slow cooked over the fire along with whatever meat products (or alternative) everyone desires. Obviously anyone who wants can cook their own grub, there'll not be any forced participation :)
NI-Wild will be providing the meat and we'll do some communal cooking so everyone should only need to bring whatever they want to eat alongside or anything not on the communal list. Post suggestions below as to what food you think would be good and if you have any interesting (or cheap!) food sources.
It could turn out to be quite a weight of food so some help getting it all up there would be useful.
We'll aim to get down there quite early and have food cooked at a reasonable hour so people who want to come but can't stay over can have enough time to get back down to their cars.
Update
We've not really heard what people might like to eat so we'll bring a leg of lamb plus handful of burgers, sausages
and baps along with a grill, anyone with any other suggestions feel free to post. If anyone wants to being some spare food to throw on the grill fire away. We're aiming to be at Carrick Plant Hire Car Park at around 1ish, anyone that wants to meet us there post below, other than that everyone can meet at the campsite at their leisure.
