Aye heard that toughguy is tight alright.  I'm in the 11 am one which one you in?

Haven't entered yet but said to a friend I'd do it with him. My lasting memory of Toughguy was climbing out of a frozen lake with ice floating on its surface and crawling into a tunnel not much wider than my shoulders... Only to be repeatedly electrocuted as I climbed through lol! ... Gonna check out the website here and book the time off work. Let u know which one I'm in, one thing I did learn at Toughguy was that these events are often more enjoyable and manageable in small teams... Maybe get an NI-Wild one going. Theres nothing worse than losing a shoe under 4ft of mud only to find your alone and stuck in the mud!

Aye I know what u mean, when I entered I couldn't get any of my mates to do it, they all think I'm mad.  Gonna just fire on and hope for the best!

Me and a friend just entered  the mourne way 10km in June.  I persuaded her with the promise of a country fried chicken after!

I'm tempted to do the mourne way half marathon, but more likely to try the 10k, would you stretch as far as a KFC Big Daddy box meal ?

Half marathon was talked about but my knee gives my jip after 8/9 miles (my excuse)  I'm a country girl lol. KFC is a city thing. Sounds like a nice wee route from rostrevor,

That's why I started the ultra's... best value for money  ;)

Have to miss Mourne Way this year, doesn't time in well with other races. It is a top event though.

Aye £35 for the half marathon is steep but I also heard its a great event and the draw was the added scenery.  Ultras sound way out if my league, I done the Belfast marathon once and swore I'd never ever do it again.  Awful just awful.

I did Mourne Way half last year,  35 quids steep for sure, included in the goody bag was a 26extreme buff and other bits and bobs.alco free beer too  :'( but we were bused from Rostrevor  to Ott car park starting point.they used 5  big 53 seater coaches,so i guess they dont come cheap. It was good fun actually, and slightly surreal going down tiny roads through Attical to the start of a race. The race its self was great craic, Mourneman was on the Hen mtn feed station! :)the going on the mtn sections was pretty muddy but i got away with road shoes. I def recommend the half ,was great atmos with the other runners.Hope to do it this year, calf injury at minute though  :( .   PS the 10k at £25 is bad value i rekon, i did it two years ago,and again a bus transfer to leitrim Lodge was in the price.. happy running. :)

That's good to know about the bus transfer and all, I'd heard it was a good race and I can see past the entry If it's well organised.
Hope the calf heals up

Debating Wither to hit the 10k or the half marathon.... Whichever its an awesome day out in the hills. Last year I camped out in Kilbroney Park the evening before and strolled down after for the race. Might be an idea this year: have to see if I can manage it with work.

Instead of a tee-shirt they give u a medal and a 26 extreme buff. It's worth running just for the buff! :)

Do the half its .better value. 10k is over too quick and feels like an anti climax, compared to the half. It feels like an adventure  ;D
