I've been running for years, but this winter I have been especially busy and lazy. I was wondering if theres anyone local who fancies doing a bit of regular running on the towpath, and a bit of trail running in Belvior forest. Any takers?

Belvoir perhaps??
I entered the mud madness thing so trails needed.
Welcome to the forum :)

Welcome to the forum... Yeah definately be up for that. Pretty out of shape at the moment!

Hey Robert, I live right by the Lagan Meadows and go running all the time. Admittedly, my runs are all over the place time-wise depending how each day goes, but I'm sure we could arrange something at some point.

If we got a thread for this we could have a "going for a run 8pm tonight" type deal. Also if we got enough people interested we could have a weekly meet. More people the better: that way every ability range could be catered for. Nothing worse than that long lonely run when your mates have all disappeared from view

Rusty that's an excellent idea. I'm pretty last minute with training, but I like training with others soa thread would work for me.

I'm the same Claire, I decide spur of the moment to go for a run when the girlfriend is out, having some kind of routine would no doubt be better though. I like Rusty's idea, a thread with times is grand. I live at the bottom of Malone so I can make most times in Lagan Valley, so long as I'm not working.

That's the thread started! .... Keep er lit!

I work on the cregagh and live in dundonald so training varies with work and where I fancy going......ill post on thread when going etc....I tend to bring kettlebells and other stuff and throw it about a bit as well as running,

Sounds good: there's a fun variation on a childhood game we used to play running.... Anytime anyone shouts "sniper" everyone has to drop and do 20 push ups... It's hilarious when timed right :D
