How's it going?
I'm Steven from Lisburn, I found this forum while looking for bushcraft courses in NI. I'm 20 and have loved the outdoors for as long as I can remember.
I mainly love hiking, any watersports, getting lost, forests, caves, climbing and camping, especially outdoor cooking. Basically anything that gives an adrenaline rush or keeps me fit.
I've mainly just been hiking and camping round Ireland, but have been to the Lake District and Loch Lomond. I'm looking to go to the mountains in Eastern Europe and spend a few weeks in the forests in the near future.
I'm here mainly to learn, especially friction fire lighting, I managed it with bamboo in Portugal where everything's dry, but just haven't mastered it yet in N.I. with native woods.

Welcome Steve. I'm pretty interested in learning fire by friction but I understand it's pretty hard. The NI Bushcraft chaps are on here quite a bit - I daresay they'd know how it all works.
