kettle will be on all day so if anyone is out an about call by if only for a laugh at all our pruck. Roll on tomorrow!!!

Have an excellent time Glenn, sure packing too much stuff is always part of the experience and you'll know next time what you actually use and what you really need.
-
strap the tent to the outside of the rucksack to make space for more luxuries, you'll be glad of those luxuries when you get there :)
-
Have a good one Glenn, enjoy!

We have everthing but the kitch... no wait its in too lol we are probably all the same on our first wild one and i know what your all gonna say but (MUM) had a hand in this too *i know i know* She cant quite fathom the bit where i say "its only 1 night" so tomorrow i will mostly be a packhorse.. Maybe have to give Rusty Madara a wee shout!!

Haha good old mum, sure just think of the exercise hauling all that kit! It's an easy walk, Donard with no kit would be harder, make sure ye take a few photies!
-
Take it all, make sure the wee fella has a great time. :)
One word of warning though be careful with food. It's a good idea to hang your rubbish with food scraps on a tree. If you leave inside the fly sheet you might just have a fox trying to get it.
-
Aye you will have a fox about up there alright, sure it's all part of the experience!
-
Thanks for the advice guys would not have thought about old Mr Fox must keep that in mind.

Well Glenn, that was some wet night out there, how did the camp go?
-
Fantastic night no rain until 2am then wash out but a brilliant night and bumped in another wilder Scribble who very kindly let us share the shelter of his tarp and as he already had a wee fire going we were sorted. Might try and get a few pics up later can't do it now as we are still sitting waiting for the car to de mist. Might not happen though because we are that wet we're steamin it up.

Great night and great to meet you and Tom , Owen still looking one of Toms knifes. I got the fire lit but your organisation of the wood kept it going all night :D . will have to be better organised and bring wine and save my self a trip into annalong ::).
The path back to car was an experience just gave up trying to keep dry and we just walked through the streams
-
Well done lads for getting out and sticking it out in those conditions, that's what it's all about, karma to u both!
-
Ha Ha Ha the walk back down to the car was MAD never imagined there could be much surface water should have brought my kayak. Passed a group of fell runners who were greatly overdressed speedos would have been more than enough.
-
Good for you guys, sounds like you all had a grand time, karma added. :)
-
Thanks again to Andy and Owen for your company and craic around the fire made our first wild camp that wee bit easier ;D

Great to see you had a good time Glenn. And well done for getting the pictures to work.
Your tent is 5 years older than I am!
-
Great photos Glenn, looks like a great time was had, well done again for getting out! The wee tent looks well cared for, shows how long your gear can last if looked after!

They are easy looked after when they have been in the roof space for years!! That wee tent would be lucky if it was used anymore than about 20 times :'( but hoping to get alot more use out of it now that we have broke our duck and got our first camp under the belt ;D
