Hi all,
My name is Ruth, 25 and I'm from the North Coast. I'm lucky to be able to enjoy walking many parts of the coast line! I would love to meet up with like minded people and explore new areas to hike! I've just recently agreed to walk the West Highland Way in August (mad I know!) so I would appreciate any training/advice thrown my way!!
Looking forward to future hikes with you!
Ruth

August! A Midge head net and repellent are a must. A tick remover too.
No idea what your setup is etc but 'go light or go home' is my motto :)

Thanks for the lovely welcome everyone!!
I love Fair head - Grey Man's path is a must!! There are a few spots for camping but if you preferred some home comforts there are a few National Trust cottages you could rent for the night!! Let me know if you get it organised and I will def join you!!
-
p.s. Typo-On - "a tick remover" - this does not enthuse me one little bit!!

Welcome Ruth. I am very fond of the North Coast. I sometimes stay in Ballintoy so I can go hunting gryphaea at White Park Bay.

Hello and Welcome to the forum.
-
Thanks for the welcome! Let's organise a wee trip up to the North Coast soon! Carrick-A-Rede to Giant's Causeway is a great walk or a easy hike around Binevenagh is also very enjoyable!
-
I will be up that way next month hiking. It won't be long hike though just from the adelphi to the harbour bar. Be rude not too lol.
-
Welcome to the forum Ruth. The majority of my hiking experiences are from the mournes, but I've wanted to do a few north coast walks, especially binevenagh for a long time. Think I saw it on a tv program (Hannah Shields was on it) a few years ago and thought that looks great.
Anyway, if it gets organised and I can go I can give a few people from belfast a lift up :)

Lo Peeweeperry,
Been up the North coast working this past two weeks, and should be making a regular appearance in the summer. I Would be interested in meeting up for a dander as the scenery is stunning and I really fancy walking along Fair head.
-
Welcome ;D
I love the north coast, any chance I get I'm up around the giants cause way. If you can pass on info of other walks that would be great.
