Title: QUB Mountaineering lecture, Belfast, Wed 13th feb 2013 @ 7.30pm

QUB MC have a long history of mountaineering expeditions and their latest was to Krygystan (hope thats spelt right) in 2012. Theres a public lecture about this at the medical biology building, QUB, 13 Feb.
It should definitely be worth a look.

Thanks for the info Fred, i'll be heading down to this just to find out more about Connors 'training' methods of wearing a bra and blowing a trumpet in the Italian Alps.

Just watched this documentary on the BBC iPlayer:

Climbing Everest with a Mountain on My Back: The Sherpa's Story

Amazing footage and some of the hardships are intense at that height, one and a half hours to melt snow for a litre of water and an hour to put on their expedition boots. Well worth watching.

Yes, it was an interesting documentary.
