THIS MONTHS THEME IS "FAVOURITE (Freestyle)"
Last months Winner, ME :D has selected this months Theme "Favourite".
I've decided to give you a real easy theme this month to kick off the new year. Everybody has at least one photograph in their back catalogue that they feel is their finest piece of work, and has maybe even sat as wallpaper on your PC for a while. I want you all to dig out this image and give us all a look at it. I've even thrown in the phrase "Freestyle" so your not limited to outdoor images. It can be as random as a picture of your Goldfish with a party hat on if you like!!!
If you haven't got a picture that you feel is good enough... Then get out there and get one and get it submitted for a bit of harmless critique ;)
Please email your entry for the Monthly Photo Competition to here:
[email protected]Please do not post in this thread until the photographs have been displayed, then the chat can begin.
For fairness, submitted entries will not be displayed until after the closing date.
All entries need to be submitted by Midnight on Thursday 31st January and will be displayed here shortly after.
The Monthly Photo Competition is open to NI-Wild Members only. Please remember to include your NI Wild Username when submitting your entry. No specialist equipment is required to enter this Photo comp and remember you're the photographer, so your interpretation will be respected.

Has this closed? Forgot again!
As Dowser is currently tucked up in his bivvy bag in a puddle on the side of a mountain i reckon you might be able to squeeze a late entry in ;)

Yeap... Late entries are not a problem this month! I've been running all over the place this weekend and just haven't had a minute to put the gallery together.
All the entries are in work so it will be tomorrow before they are posted.
Sorry, My Bad :(
Sorry Everybody,
Between Camping, Recovering from camping and just pure disorganisation on my part the "Favourite" Gallery is only now viewable below...
Please take time to view this months entries and chose your personal favourite.
Your vote is as important as the entries themselves so please get involved and support our keen photographers and the hard work that they have put in :)

Thank you to everybody that entered... Some really crackin' photos this month. I'll bet Phil_b is glad I was tucked up in a muddy puddle on Saturday night as it allowed him to sneak in an awesome last minute entry. It got my vote ;)

Well done phil b!
Congratulations phil_b. A well-deserved win.
Thanks guys ;D. That photo was taken this January in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote at sunrise. It was the most spectacular sunrise I have seen and the sunset the evening before was similar.
I will decide on a topic for this month tonight and let Dowser know.
well done Phil, you got my vote, do you remeber how long the exposure was on that?
my pic was also taken on holidays last year, a view over lake garda during a 4 hour distant nighttime thunderstorm (and i didn't feel a single drop of rain :o ) you can just make out a bit of lightning in it too, i used a 60 second exposure, pity no-one voted for me ;D

I never noticed the sky until you pointed it out.. and i love a good thunder and lightning storm, the lights on the land were all i looked at :(.. I voted for no 7 :) all were brilliant in there own right.
Liam, that was just a 25 second exposure using a graduated filter to hold back the light in the sky and balance to exxposure a bit.
I voted for no 1 like it a lot and would love to see a sight like that myself.
I would like to have "high" as the topic for February, whether it is high mountains, high buildings, views from up high or from planes, helicopters etc. Should give everyone a bit of scope.
Well done Phil
Amazing shot!
I took that pic at sunset on New Year's Eve (2009 I think)
Rubbish visibility until we broke through the clouds at the summit of Binnian and there was the excellent cloud inversion.
