Hi, new to the site. Planning walking the wall in spring and getting info before.

Welcome to the forum

Hello and welcome!

Hi,
I've walked the wall twice. Think there is a separate thread on here about it. Great challenge but don't underestimate it!
I'll dig out some links later and throw them up here.

Some more info.

Secondly, a previous thread on here about the walk.

Best of luck with it and let me know should you need any advice..

Welcome to the forum Clairebear, hopefully we will see you on the hills soon.
-
Welcome, i have that wall to do some time this year too.
-
I plan doing it again this year.
Done it twice on my own so if there is a group being organised to do it in a day, I'd be on for that.
-
why force it in 1 day, 2 days with summit camp so people can summit camp only if they cant do it all
-
ps hello clair
-
Was planning it with a camp half way.....think it's a little more enjoyable that way.
-
Hi Claire bear! nice to see another lady! Welcome... are you local to the Mournes?
-
Hi Clairebear, welcome to NI Wild.
Re the wall conversation, I've always assumed the full wall walk would be tougher over 2 days with full kit than in one day with a day sack only. Some obviously think otherwise, it is an interesting debate.

You could stash kit halfway round and take day packs.

Welcome! The wall's quite the walk, lots of peaks and distance, I'd love to give it a crack but I think it might be a bit much.
