I've received an email from the editor of Trail magazine yesterday,it appears they seen the photo BigE took of me on Binnian & want to feature it in the Dec issue(available 1 nov) i've emailed they back describing everything to do with the shot ,also that it was an NI-WILD camp & what the forum is about, hopefully we can get some publicity from this, also Mountainering Ireland have also asked for permission to use the photo, well done BigE.

Great news Mourneman! As a subscriber to Trail, when renewing I asked them to consider covering Ireland too...that there was a huge untapped market of hills they were missing...hopefully this will be a catalyst! Well done BigE indeed!

:) ;). You're quite right rumblebum, but in fairness I was on the verge of sleep when I was awoke by two happy campers who were raving on about feeding a fox & the approaching sunrise,I also remember a certain camper- " help ,my zip it stuck,I can't get out to see the sunrise,"all you could see was two eyes & a nose poking out, lol. That was a great camp :)

Wow!
Only saw that pic now and it's absolutely amazing, really sums up so much of what makes the Mournes such a fantastic place.
BTW: If you are looking for publicity for NI Wild, I am involved in www.walkingandhikingireland.com and we've been thinking about running a few articles featuring mountain photos. Basically, the photo would be the hook and we'd get the photographer or people in the photo to give some details of where it was taken and the story behind it. This shot would be an ideal contender for a piece if interested.

Hard to believe Eamonn took this after about 2 litres of wine ;-)
