bit far for me to go on but may suit the locals (hopefully he'll come up to tollymore, sounds like an interesting talk)
Lisnaskea man Colin Lively, will be sharing his mountaineering experiences from expeditions on Friday 21st September at the Share Discovery Village, Fermanagh. He will talk about climbing into the death zone (above 8,000m) trapped in a crevasse, and how it forced him to live in a snow hole for 3 days before being airlifted to safety after the worst August weather spell in 40 years in the Himalayas.
Climbing great heights requires resolve, stamina, motivation and sheer belief. Colin has undertaken some of the world’s toughest and remotest climbs in 5 different continents including Denali, Elbrus, Dych Tau, Cho Oyu and Aconcagua.
