Hi Guys,
I'm fairly new to this forum, but have been hiking and camping for many a year. I love the banter with all the threads, and enjoying reading them.
I was just wondering, if NI-Wild have any hiking or camping groups available, and is it easy for someone like myself to get involved.
Many thanks in advance! :)

Hello and good morning/afternoon/evening. *Choose appropriate time of day!*
There are no specific groups. Someone suggests a day out and then it developes from there. There are plenty of folks on here with skills in the various outdoor activities eg, walking, climbing, canoeing with some being multi-skilled. If you read back on older posts you'll see how it works out. Some great photos to look at as well of what went on.
I hope you enjoy you time here and that you will be able to meet up with other members sometime soon. Feel free to ask any questions, someone will have some advice and guidance, normally from their experiences.

Ha ha, he did! ;)
Excellent, thank you for the replies.
A mate and myself are up the Mournes quite a bit, and throughly enjoy camping in Annalong wood, or on the Mournes. Not that we bore each other daft, but I think it'd be great craic to hike and camp with larger groups of like minded folk! :)

So, hopefully see you guys on the Mournes at some point.
Here! Maybe NI-Wild oughta print t-shirts, wholly hats, have a silly secret handshake so you can tell we're from NI-Wild. Ha haa. ;D
Just sayin' :P

We normally fly a skull and crossbones flag at our camp and we did have badges made up to put on our kit. Welcome to the forum, Hopefully see you out and about.

Generally someone will post 'Im doing X on the 15th, who's in?' Then its time to stick your head above the parapet and say 'ME!' :)
I've found it very easy to fit in with anyone I've been out with so far :)
Anytime you are out Kenny fire up a few pics on the forum, folk are always interested in camping spots, kit set-up etc.
...and if a grumpy oul sod like TypoOn can fit in anyone can ;)

;D I love the badges idea. And the idea of the skull and crossbones, genius.
Well, thank you y'all for making me feel welcomed. And I certainly hope to bump into some of you on the Mournes at some point. I'll also keep an eye out for proposed hikes/wildcamps on here. It would be interesting to find out about other wildcamp areas within the Mournes, other than Annalong.
I'm heading to the Brecon Beacons on the 4th Sept, so I'll post up some pics when I return and give y'all a laff..! Has anyone ever been? My first time over there, so very much looking forward to exploring. :)
