A friend and myself will be camping at Bloody Bridge 21st July if anyone would like to join us... :)

Is it okay to camp at bloody bridge, no need to pay is there?
Me and a few friends will be heading there the next time the weather is sunny! this weather at the minute is grim..

I was there last night, we were the only two there. Fantastic, it even stopped raining for long enough to have a BBQ.

Are we able to light a campfire and do there be many about at it too?
Because most places dont like campfires and dont like the idea of Bob Marley singing into the night haha

I like the look of those hostel style tents, wonder how much it would be to hire the whole tent?

So, who is still going to Bloody Bridge Campsite this week-end from Friday 20th and/or Saturday 21st July?

Also, is it planned, or would there be interest to incorporate a bit of a walk?  On a previous ocassion we taxied from BB to Meelmore Lodge and then walked the Brandy Pad back to BB for overnight with BBQ and some light refreshments.

I'm anticipating getting out this week-end and whilst I'd like to get up into the hills I'd be glad to get out and meet some other NI-Wild members around the campfire/BBQ.  Also means I dont have to carry any weight for so long!

Plan to set up camp on Saturday and stay over that night.. I wouldn't mind doing a bit of a walk Sunday, my Bro would be happy to meet up then and walk too.

Now thinking of going to BB campsite to leave the car and walk on up into the hills for an overnight.  Maybe try Donard.  The on Saturday return to BB to join other NI-Wild members for relaxed cooking over a BBQ/fire and hopefully some refreshments.  Weather looks favourable.

I'll be up about 4 ish.. I'll set up camp in our usual
Field on the right hand side when you come in the main gate.

p.s. i hate this car camping malarky, i can pack sooo much, and i want to pack sooo much, anyone bringing a generator for the tv  ;D

another great night sitting out chatting round the fire, even frank joined us for half an hour (tempted in by the offer of free liquor  ;D )  turned out i was the only bloke there and still had to cook my own dinner >:(  actually i let my daughter cook some of it for me  8)  the stragglers hit the hay after 2am, i think 1 of them may have collapsed and the rest just ran of of booze  :D

Yes thats yous. Didnt keep me awake though, my mate retired to his tent and I stayed up to finish my beer. Out like a light after that. Thanks for the pointr towards the website
