bit too crowded for me!!
-
Good way to meet up with everyone :)
That was my first NI Wild camp; great if you're bringing kids and for a first time NI Wild camp ;D
-
So what night are you thinking of then for this? Would monday be a gower?
-
never knew about these campsites, do they get much hassle from the party brigade??
-
Sunday or Monday is good for me..
-

Nope as Frank runs a tight ship and will ask the group to leave if they cause any hassle.
-
Sunday into Monday would be good and then I could maybe do a bouldering session on either day.
-
Partying in camping is fun though?
-
Either day should suit me.
-
I won't be able to go, not with these exams in the way :/ But if I was I'd have to have music maxed out, love a we bita that now. Then peace it down in the am, and chillax
-
Hmmmm, The only night I could really make would be the Monday, but if the weather dictates its a Sunday camp then go for it and enjoy. Il have to get a beer with ya again. 8)

I'd be up for this, it will be my first camp with you lot so that should be fun in itself. I was at Meelmore campsite last weekend after a day hiking in the Mounres. Despite farmer Patterson having a good big site there were far too many sunburnt, drunk folk there for my liking though :o. Good thing was, that they all packed up early on Sunday and headed away to stock up on more alcohol (and Aloe Vera too I hope!)
Where exactly is this campsite though?? ;)
-
Monday would suit me better as I'm working this weekend.. I'll ring Frank tomorrow and see if he can do the needful.

I'm working Tuesday but I'm also busy Sunday so I'm screwed all over the place I'm afraid.
-
If this camp is going to be Monday -> Tuesday I may try to come.
-
good chance i'll make an appearance at some point, hopefully all night :)

Happy days, our numbers are getting bigger. :)

I have just called Frank to let him know we are coming. He has advised that he had a few issues with rowdy folk so he has put a curfew on drinking time which will be 12am. Hopefully that shouldn't be an issue.. Also if it's busy he might have to put us in a field with cattle, again it doesn't bother me.. but just thought I would give you a heads up.

There's why we need to fight for our right to wild camp. Curfew, what is this, WW2 :o

Hey guys, my sister is camping at Bloody Bridge tonight and tomorrow. I told her there'd be an NI-wild crew down, so she might hook up with you tomorrow evening. Maybe someone confirmed can PM me their number, I'll pass it on to her so she can find you when she returns from her hike.
Hope it stays dry for y'all!
-
What time is everyone heading down at?
-
I think il probably be there for around 7 o'clock or so, I havnt been at franks before but I'm sure il be able to find it. Are we ok to have a small fire lit, I can bring some wood .
-
The entrance to Franks is straight across from the Bloody Bridge car park, directly beside the pedestrian entrance to the Bloody bridge pathway.
While controlled fires are permitted ;D you are not allowed to bring your own wood. :D You have to buy it from Frank !!! ;D
-
I think i can make this camp. It'll be my first one. Are there toilets and car parking? I'll have my 2 young sons with me so want to be prepared. What is the earliest time to show up? Hopefully see you all later. :)
-
I should be there for about 5..

Sorry I was unable to join in this camp. I am away for a few days in caravan with wife. I am however planning on getting back into walking again as soon as possible.
I have volunteered for the marshalling at the Mourne Way Marathon this Saturday and look forward to meeting you and indeed any other NI Wild members.
I hope that the camp went well.
regards,
George

Hi,
It was really nice to meet you all at the camp. Even if my tent was a bit far away from the rest of you :) I was really impressed with the site so peaceful and scenic and what a stunning evening! Alas my tent will be drying out in the garage for a bit after this morning.
Hope to see you all soon again.
