Did the "hoof trail" around castleward today, would highly recommend it! Came across these beside the caravan site, they look the business!!

Long shot - are those houses which some guy who was recently featured on Grand Designs built and designed for a living?  Could be totally wrong, though they look similar if I remember correctly.

I like the look of them, wonder what they're like inside?

I spent 5 nights in something very similar, will dig out some pics later, bit like a caravan but more spacious as it has no cupboards or toilets to get in the way, all they have is 3 (or 4) beds, electric heater, kettle and a fridge. Easy to heat as they are well insulated but the small windows don't give much of a view, i would prefer to sleep in a caravan.

There is nothing inside them, the floor is carpeted but that's it! Judging by the NT website they are just a warmer drier alternative to camping in a tent, for those weird people that don't like camping in a tent?  ;D

Emailed NT a few weeks back about them, unfurnished and from memory circa £40 a night to stay in them...

At that point I switched off...

You could get a fair few people in 1 of them, 40 quid split between 5 or 6 wouldn't be too bad!

max of 4 i reckon, the far half has boards to make a double/triple bed, the kitchen half has one bed, i suppose you could put someone on the floor to make 5 at a push.

I was talkin about the ones in castleward Liam, they have no beds kitchen etc just a floor, so you could fit more people in!
