Hi everyone  ;D

My name is Ruth, I'm a single mum of two and love being outdoors with my kids. I actually have just started a Family Walking Club in Belfast - we are on fb and meetup.com - to cater for the specific needs of those with kids. We had our first walk today, under 2 miles and ti took 3 hours but much fun was had by all including exploring the forest, looking for animals and bugs, rolling down grassy hills and throwing stones into the water! I'm here to meet other people interested in the outdoors and see if it is feasible to link up some of our activities with some of yours! I'm interested in joining in any activities suitable for me and my kids and maybe even get a chance to go on some walks without them!

welcome ruth, my wee girl told me tonight she wants to climb slieve donard so let us know when you plan that walk,  although i think she wants me to carry her up  ;D

Welcome Ruth I tried to reply yesterday but cant find my post!  I have 3 young children and am always looking for outdoor family stuff.  I was wondering about geocaching recently.  We had our first chilly tent camp out night before last!  Whats the name of the family walking group in Belfast?
