What do you all think of this coat, i have under armour and fleece. I just dont have a good outdoor coat, is this what i need ?
-
looks all right, limited sizes though (no med or large)
-
Looks like a great coat. But thats quite the bit of paper out of your wallet.
Whats your budget like?
I'm not saying thats a bad choice, but just remember you can get waterproof coats for cheaper, it doesnt have to be a big name brand.
-
£60 in cotts world vochers i have, trying to use them on a water - wind prof jacket. Dont mine putting a litte to it £40 max.
-
It is very lightweight. Bear in mind you'll be hoping that it stays in your rucksack, you'd barely notice it was in there. Whilst it doesn't have the more breathable liners, it does have pitzips which are useful for regulating your body heat especially if the rain is light.
You'll find a few comments on it here (http://www.outdoorsmagic.com/search/). Seems to review favourably.
If I am reading it right it is only available in XS now.

Go down to the store in town wolf. I was just in there and ther have loads of rock bottom stuff in there.

Ill have to get into the store tomoro, would this one be water proof as it says the inside is. I think it had a Large and Medium in it.
All i need is a water proof coat as i have fleece and under armor for under water proof coat.
-
what do you think of the under armour stuff? I've had two cold gear ones and never felt warm in either.
-
i think under armor is great for wind chill when playing football, not sure how well they work for walking. I shall try it sometime.

The rain shadow is still available XL in yellow... would be better than the Jack Wolfskin.
Other decent cheaper jackets are the Sprayway Hydrolite, Marmot Precip/Aegis, Montane DT

where do i find them jackets ?
-
Cotswold or Tiso usually have the first two. Jackson sports do a lot of Montane.
Google is your friend.

On the subject of jackets, I have a little rant to get off my chest.
Has anyone noticed lately just how many pensioners are dandering around wearing North Face jackets, grrr really has put me off wearing one forever, soooo not cool. Its as if North Face has become the equivalent that Super-Dry is for teenagers.
-
Lmao, well spoted. Ill get one for the OAP lunch, cheap and cheerful ;D
