Title: Cheep down jacket

Hey guys, just a quick post about my latest purchase. Just bought the goose down jacket from Field and Trek. Sure at 29 quid if its rubbish it will do for wearing to walk the dogs etc.

Very good for the price. It is very bulky thou, thats why I gave mine away to my porter so I could get gifts home from africa.

So now I have the coat I figured I should say a bit about it. I have to keep reminding myself that you get what you pay for.....

First thing I will point out is that this coat doesnt pack that small, its quite bulky.
it has a water proof zip which to me is pointless on a non water proof jacket, just makes it harder to use.
The zip snags the coat quite a lot too.
The cuffs are quite rough and get annoying around your wrists.
It is quite warm, but nothing special.
Lots of feathers sticking out through the stitching.
the hood is wired which is quite good..maybe.
There is a fairly nice soft fabric in the neck and face area though a suede would have been better.
It was 29 quid. Worth it....yea I think so. Will i take it up the hills...Maybe not.
