For anyone thats bored ... 254 pictures from my kayak trip in 2010,
We did this to raise funds for a breast cancer charity called Casting for Recovery
The locks at Annacrusha were as far as we got .. they wouldn't let us down the canal as there were two turbines running .. Still we did 249 miles in 11 days .. We actually did it in ten days . severe gales postponed our crossing of Lough Ree by a day
Wild camped for 8 nights . the showers at Lough Ree and Lough Derg yacht clubs were very welcome as were the pints

Yes my dog went too ,, the only staffy to have kayaked from Belleek to Limerick :D

some great pics there (no i didn't go through them all ::) ) you could do with one of them poles for holding the camera, it is a waterproof camera ,isn't it !

Looks like a fantastic adventure Andy. I rented a motor boat in Beleek and took a trip down to Belturbet and back over a few days. It was great fun and very relaxing.
