I bought this for the bathtub floor - I had the Argos one with no attached groundsheet and thought it was too risky (the difference in price is only £25).
I've had it away once and was impressed. My opinions in brief:
Good points:
- Easy to pitch, can be erected by one person
- Single skin so doesn't have the pitch as one issues
- Roomy enough for two with some gear
- Fun - looks great
- Can McGyver attaching a tarp on for living space
- Enough room for two people to sit up comfortably
Bad points:
- Not sure about single skin tents in really bad weather
- No porch
- There was some condensation in the morning. Not enough to actually see but you could feel it. Should stress tha there was no damp on the floor
- Quite heavy for the floor space and lack of porch
- Still no standing room
It wouldn't be my choice for anywhere I had to hike to so in retrospect I should have got the larger 500. That said, I know I have more bad points than good but I'd still rate the tent and will use it again. I'd even be tempted to sell it and upgrade to the 500.
